Diana Craig
- Edmonds and Camano Island
Diana Craig of Edmonds and Camano Island joined the People For Puget Sound board in 2010. She is Director of Human Resources at Intermec, Inc. of Everett, WA.
Diana worked for People For Puget Sound in 2009 and came to understand the issues and what People For Puget Sound was doing about it.
“I liked the people, the mission and how they got things done. I appreciate an organization that is as frugal as I am, and consciously makes solid decisions on how it spends its money,” says Diana.
For Diana, the biggest concern is water quality: how do you strike the right balance between loving an area to death and putting in the right legislation and modifying behaviors to achieve a healthier Sound.
“I think an auxiliary factor is continuous education. We need to make sure that everyone understands the interconnectedness between our actions and how that plays out in the Sound.”
Diana’s goal as a board member is to add value, using her personal and professional connections and her ability to get things done.
Her favorite place in Puget Sound? “That's like asking which of your children you prefer. I live near Picnic Point Park and walk from my house down to the park. I have a small cabin up on Camano Island, so I spend time on and around the water up there. Further north and west, the San Juans are absolutely lovely. Hiking at Ebey Landing on a clear day-- it doesn't get any better. Picnicking on the beach at Three Tree Point or birding over near the Dungeness Spit are terrific options.”
