Tom Bayley, born and bred in Seattle,  joined the People For Puget Sound board in 2010. A resident of the Ballard neighborhood, he is president of  C.D. Stimson Company, an asset management company founded in 1909.

Tom’s had a lifelong interest in the Sound and has been actively involved with Puget Soundkeeper Alliance and The Nature Conservancy. He is on the board of the Pendleton & Elisabeth Miller Charitable Foundation.

“Run off is the Number One culprit degrading the Sound. And education seems to be the most accessible and feasible way to get a handle on the problem,” Tom says.

“With the skills I bring to the board, I hope to help increase membership and donations.”

Tom’s favorite place in the Salish Sea is West Sound on Orcas Island and, after that, the mid-Sound area around Seattle.
