People For Puget Sound this year celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day with over a month of Puget Sound education and restoration activities.

Earth Month events begin with this week’s annual Storming the Sound educators workshop and conclude with the annual New Day for Puget Sound breakfast on May 18.  An ongoing calendar is found online here.

Some Puget Sound Earth Month highlights include:
·     Volunteer restoration workdays in Everett, Edmonds, Tacoma

·     Duwamish Alive! Restoration Work Day on Seattle's hometown river, 4/17

·     Go Green Sustainability Conference, 4/21

·     “Peace to the Planet” concerts, 4/22 and 4/25

·     Swinomish Earth Enhancement Celebration, 4/24

·     “Circumference of Home” book talk by Kurt Hoelting, 4/29 and 4/30

·     “Pier Peer” night dockside explorations in Seattle and Olympia

·     Day cruise aboard the schooner Adventuress, 5/1

·     New Day for Puget Sound breakfast featuring Dr. Carl Safina, 5/18
