EARTH DAY WEED-OUT AT UNION SLOUGH: CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS

Marysville, WA Apr 09, 2008

The April 19th Weed-Out Earth Day project at Union Slough needs more volunteers to help “free the trees” by yanking, digging and hacking back pesky weeds. Here’s a great chance to get a little muddy and give back to the Earth, your community and yourself.

People For Puget Sound provides the tools, refreshments and lots of encouragement. Wear sturdy work shoes/boots and clothes to get dirty in. Dress for the weather, and bring a sack lunch and a water bottle.

Sign up today or get more info by contacting Keeley O’Connell | 360.336.1931

Puget Sound Earth Month 2008 is presented by People For Puget Sound and many community partners including Alderwood REI. A complete list of Earth Month events is found at PugetSound.org where you an also become a Sound Citizen by doing one or more of the 10 Simple Things To S.O.S, Save Our Sound.
