State Ecology and Regional EPA Chiefs to Discuss Region's Environmental Protections

State Department of Ecology director Ted Sturdevant and new appointed Environmental Protection Agency Region X director Dennis McLerran will discuss their plans to protect the region’s waters, air and land at a public roundtable on Wednesday, May 5, in Seattle.

The discussion will cover water quality, climate change, toxic cleanups including Superfund sites, solid waste recycling, among other environmental issues.

The round table will be held at the K & L Gates 29th floor conference room, 925 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, at 7 PM. The presentation and discussion session will be preceded at 6:30 PM by a social period with appetizers.

The program is free but RSVPs are requested to info@wffe.org and donations are welcome.

The program is sponsored by the Washington Foundation for the Environment. Cosponsors include the National Wildlife Foundation, People For Puget Sound, Futurewise, Climate Solutions, Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, CH2M Hill and K&L Gates.
